January and February Highlights!

I hope everyone enjoyed the February break.
Below are some video and photo highlights from some of our busy busy days!

Circling back to being the best we can be!
In January we devised a plan to fill a jar of "snowballs" and earn an Arts and Crafts day.  In order to fill the jar everyone needed to do their best to work hard, listen to others, and show kindness and respect.  The children did just that, collaboratively and with an eye towards improving when they missed the mark.  Of course, we were excited when we filled their jar!

Here are some of the highlights from this very fun afternoon.  Tables were filled with all sorts of art supplies and the children got busy.  It was wonderful to see them create all kinds of things, often  with some of simplest items.

Paper bag puppets were a huge favorite!

Next up, we are working to fill the jar again to earn a combo
"Wear your PJs, Bring a beloved Stuffy or Blankie, and Yoga Day"!

Valentines Day!
Always a fun-filled day... the children designed their valentine bags and delighted in delivering and receiving many valentines from friends and teachers.  It was a love-filled day for sure!

Many thanks to our room parents, and other parent volunteers, who joined us for a fun celebration right before the break.

Pictures tell it all!

5th Grade Buddies!!!
Earlier in the month we began our partnership with Mr. Mason's 5th grade class for book buddies.  We will meet about once a month (more if we can) between now and June.  Our first gathering was super exciting!

Excitedly awaiting our new friends!

And... Crazy Hat Day was a hoot too!
